Price point for manufactured homes

I expected more of a discount since I was at the manufacture. I was disappointed with the pricey, and the lack of help with aftermarket set up.

Horrible service and incredibly stupid sales staff

We started a home purchase through factory expo Arkansas city kansas location in October 2020. This sales office is staffed by liars and lazy fools. They have done the siding wrong($3200 mistake),got the shower tile wrong,and stated that the factory wouldn't call to let me know, claimed that since the factory couldn't get the 1"keri blinds that all we'd get was $100 for 10 windows, and for all these screw-ups I had to wait till the beginning of June for delivery. Then they wouldn't give me a date for the set up crew till July. Don't buy from this dealership-you will get screwed! screwed! screwed

User's recommendation: Go anywhere else.

Factory Expo Home Center - Bad Experience - Our 2020 Nightmare

The contractor that we referred had not had any issues on prior projects, there was no way for us to know that there would be issues with the mating of the home in this project. We at Factory Expo Home Centers have been diligently working with the client and the issues were remedied in final in Mid-October. Our greatest desire is for every customer to have the best experience possible when buying a new home, we are regretful that this was not the case for this consumer, but we followed the project to the end to ensure things were settled.

I read through these reviews. I am amazed how many people paid in full. then wonder why they are having so much problems. If your reading these reviews because your thinking of buying one. If you plan on paying cash. put the money in escrow with a attorney. put in writing when each allotment of cash will be disbursed. If they have problem with that. then move on. llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

I would like to clarify for any people researching manufactured homes out there, that Factory Expo does not require anyone to pay in full before the home is complete. We do however offer a generous discount if they choose to do so, more than can be made in conservative investments.

We also have the privilege of being on factory grounds and can allow our customers to come walk and inspect their homes prior to delivery when final funds are due.

We are not out to scam anyone and we pride ourselves in providing affordable housing throughout the United States. We serve a very important market, especially in today's economy where site built prices are skyrocketing.

#2035119
@CustomerServiceFactoryExpo

This is a total lie. We were told specifically by Rene, the project manager, in Lafayette TN that we were NOT allowed to due a final walk thru due to insurance reasons.

We raised *** about it because final payment was due and we wanted to see it prior to delivery.

Your sales person gave us the same line of BS about inspecting the home prior to payment. Trust me guys, you ain't looking at what you bought.

@Lylah Koe

Lylah We are interested in the background of this. Do you have your home now and are there issues that we can help you to address?

Please email us at CustomerExcellence@factoryexpohomes.com so we can assist you with any issues you are experiencing. Without background on the request to inspect and the timing it is hard to say why you may have been told you could not inspect the home. Some of our factories were not allowing customers on their grounds during Covid in order to maintain appropriate health and safety measures.

Again, we are here to help and if you are having issues, please reach out by email. Sincerely, The Factory Expo Management Team

@PissedConsumer1875995

you must work for them. HAHA, sure, let them hussle money from you.

I was dealing with them right before this shut down BS.

I said, how can you look at me in the eye and tell me Im going to my home in 6 weeks. but they wanted me to pay upfront for the whole thing, again LMAO!!!!!!!

#1983954
@j k Uay

No @pissedcustomer1875995 does not work for us, and if you read their comment closer it appears as if they are agreeing with you. I do however work for Factory Expo and want to add some clarity to your statement.

We don't REQUIRE full up front payment before a home is even produced but we do offer a very generous discount (more than you could make in savings/conservatives investments), however if a customer wishes to wait until their home is complete, they may do so, they may even come to the factory and walk the home before they pay. Do we have some upset customers? Yes. We are in a construction related industry and this is a very emotional and personal purchase.

We do what we can to work with our clients to meet expectations but sometimes that is not possible. We have been in business for 21 years, ship to 48 of the 50 states and have delivered over 18,000 homes during that timeframe. If we were not an upstanding business we would not still be here. The pandemic scared a good number of people away from buying, if you are still in the market I'd encourage you to check back with our sales center and remind you that payment in full up front is NOT a requirement.

:) If you've found another home, we are happy for you. Sincerely, Factory Expo Home Centers

@j k Uay

Hello Benzion: March/April of last year was a crazy time where a number of people switched directions on what the decided to do with their housing situation. We'd like to let you know that paying upfront prior to production is NOT a requirement and if someone told you it was, we'd love for you to follow up with a message to customerexperience@factoryexpohomes.com so we can address this with our staff.

You do get a great discount for paying in full when you first purchase your home, but it is not required. If your situation has changed we welcome you back and sincerely thank you for your business although it didn't work out in the first go round.

Not what I was promised!

Phase 1 - so the home has been delivered and "almost" has all the upgrades we asked for but some work looks have been a bit sloppy and not that great as there are some walls, windows, kitchen island and lights that are a bit "out of square" or visibly "crooked" and will need to be repaired or adjusted. We also have a tiny door that was placed on the backside of the home that I have to duck to get in and out of so not sure what happened there. Simple cosmetic adjustments purely from what we see so shouldn't be an issue so overall, so far, so good ***July 28th*** 30 day punch list has been turned in. Ball is in Factory Expo/ Champion Homes court now. - My home is missing many upgrades that we initially agreed to in my contract. - Craftsmanship was not that great meaning several sheetrock walls are bowed in or out in areas, floor has raised areas in it, carpet missing and the tile bathroom in my home as compared to the Olivia model on their site is not the same. The tile on mine is crooked, incomplete, the glass is wrong and it looks nothing like the Olivia models tile that they reference onsite. If a project manager was truly overseeing my build then most of this would have been caught. The Olivia model, just as it is on your site is what we jointly agreed to and is what I paid for so dont tell me now, $91k later that I need to settle with this "uniquely crafted UNLIKELY direct comparison" to the Olivia model, as you noted above in your response. ***** Friday Sept 27th ***** So my cabinets that I have been expecting for over 2 months just came and they are wrong. Factory expo is doing the same song and dance and are quite frankly, useless. Factory Expo has my 100k and I'm still chasing them down, 4 months later for basic items that should have been in my house during the original build. My advice to consumers looking to go this route I will tell you this.........AVOID FACTORY EXPO IN LILLINGTON !!! They will promise you a model home (like they show you on the lot) and smile all the way thru the deal up to when they get your money and then they deliver you a half baked version with reduced products such as less cabinets as expected, less tile, carpet etc and then fight tooth and nail to not do any follow up work or make things right. Please feel free to contact me for pictures and more detail if you need and STAY AWAY from FACTORY EXPO in Lillington!

Dishonest unprofessional company burleson tx

I put dwn a.large deposit in.october 2018. The deposit was more than half the price of the home, I was promised my home would be ready mid december. My was never started, they company never sent an invoice or serial number and other needed items to the mortgage company to complete financing. It it's now the end of November and all.they have done for me is cash my deposit check. The manager never returned my calls so I went up there to try and resolve the conflicting stories I was getting but the manager refused to call the mortgage company to trouble the issues and yelled at me and shoved papers towards my face, he then told me he didnt want to build my.home and would rather return my money and be done with me. The next day after he realized the amt of my deposit was he tried to.offer me a demo.home but that home ended up being 5k more than my original home was plus an additional 3k for taxes and ins rom mortgage company for for the same home with some upgrades I did not want. I am currently waiting for my refund which is suppose to only take.2 weeks but the expected date I was, given is longer than that

Requesting refund

I put down a very large deposit more than half the price of the home, the office never sent all needed docs to finance, I was not able to complete finance because of this. My home was never started. It's been A month and they have done nothing for me but cash my deposit check. Ive gone up to.the office in burleson twice because the manager would not return my calls or answere when I called the office. When I arrive the first time the manager yelled at me shoving papers on my face, arguing and regusing to help resolve the issue with finance by calling the mortgage co. He told.me "thats not gonna happen today".later he told.me.he didnt know.if he wanted to bother building my.home and would rather return my money and be done with me. I requested a refund that day and am currently waiting for my money.

why in *** would you pay any company in full. Your asking to ripped off.

Being in business before. once your paid, There is no incentive to meet the deedline. IF a company wants to be paid in full for any BS exscuss like they are worried on getting paid etc. I would contact a lawyer and put the money in account that the company can only draw on as they meet certain bench marks.

Have it all in writing and if they dont agree on this then move on. your
